National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence

The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence was esablished in the early 1970s and the organization's mission is to improve the quality of vehicle repair and service through the testing and certification of auto repair and service professionals. The institue works in every segment of the automotive industry: car and truck dealerships, independant auto repair garages, fleets, service stations, franchises, and more. Each member is required to take one or more of ASE 40+ exams that are grouped into specialties for automobile, medium/heavy truck, truck equipment, parts specialists, collision repair technicians, and collision damage estimators. Only upon passing at least one exam and providing proof of two years or relevant work experience can a auto repair shop become certified. Furthermore, ASE certified affiliates must be retested every five years.

Satisfied Customer

Thank you Maplewood Auto. Being a single woman, I was hesitant about bringing my car in because I have been taken advantage of in the past. Well everyone there was friendly to me and the bill was less than half of what I expected. They explained all the work they were doing so even I could understand!!! I recommend Maplewood Auto to all single women in St. Paul & Minneapolis who are worried about being overcharged. I definitely will bring my car back. Thank you again!!!
